Szabo is an artist/producer working at the forefront of the global EDM scene. After working with chart-topping artists like Starley, Volt & State, Instereo, Tom Staar and Newton Faulkner, this gifted producer/writer has stepped out from the studio into the spotlight, enlisting a cast of vocalists to produce ethereal and emotive EDM that is currently storming charts worldwide.
His latest single, ‘Go Do You’, featuring the powerful vocals of DILA, is scheduled for release on Friday 22nd February.
Raised on a diet of west coast Americana, Szabo has redirected his melodic inspirations towards a maximalist sound that draws influence from Kygo, Zedd, and Armin Van Buuren. Crafting music that integrates his talent for pop-focused song-writing into the framework of contemporary EDM, Szabo constructs tracks that are equally suitable to the radio and the dancefloor, bridging the gap between dynamic club-ready sounds and chart-topping musicality.
“It’s got depth and heart and it’s actually a little darker than my usual material – lyrically and sonically.”
Szabo’s latest single, ‘Go Do You’, is a powerful declaration of independence. Written alongside co-writer Gemma Lyon and featuring vocals from swiftly rising Russian vocalist Dila, it speaks to anyone wishing to empower themselves by casting aside those who bring them down. Released through Nexar Music and executive produced by Darren Poole (Labrinth, Kygo) the track is accompanied by a video written and directed by Jono Hart, known for working with CeeLo Green and Jason Derulo.
“Working with my co-writer Gemma Lyon was great, because I wanted a female point of view on the lyrics. The song is all about a woman rising through adversity and doing what she wants and needs to do - while at the same time telling everyone else to quit judging her and go take care of themselves.”
