B.o.B (AKA Bobby Ray Simmons), returns with his brand new smash single, “So Good”, scheduled for release on 16 April through Atlantic Records UK. The latest single from the rap sensation is taken from his upcoming second album, Strange Clouds, which is out on 30 April. Listen to “So Good” here.
The Ryan Tedder-produced track comes on the heels of the rapper’s previous two album cuts, “Play The Guitar (feat. Andre 3000)” and “Strange Clouds” (feat. Lil Wayne). Last month, B.o.B teamed up with fellow Atlanta rappers, T.I. and Young Jeezy, to release the official remix track to the latter, “Strange Clouds”. Strange Clouds (album) is the highly-anticipated follow-up to B.o.B’s critically-acclaimed B.o.B Presents: The Adventures of Bobby Ray, which earned an outstanding five Grammy nominations including “Best Rap Album.” The album debuted at #1 in the US on Billboard’s Top 200 Albums chart and was heralded by the smash debut single “Nothin’ On You (feat. Bruno Mars),” which catapulted to the top of the UK’s Official Charts. His second single “Airplanes” featuring Paramore’s Hayley Williams hit the number one spot three weeks upfront of its official release and spent nine weeks inside the top ten, combined the two tracks have so far sold in excess of 1.5million copies in the UK alone.
In total, B.o.B has had over 200 million combined YouTube hits, 4 million of which are for “Strange Clouds”, and has gained over 2.5 million Facebook fans. Furthermore, B.o.B is one of the faces of Adidas’ 2011 “All Adidas” global brand campaign, which also includes the likes of Katy Perry, David Beckham and NBA star Derrick Rose.
