October 01, 2011 – London – Back from a stint in the US, where his songs have been featured in hit TV shows Grey's Anatomy, Bones, 90210, Vampire Diaries and One Tree Hill, Welsh recording artist Glass Pear releases new single "Summer" from his forthcoming sophomore album.
The work of platinum-selling songwriter Yestyn Griffiths, who has written songs for VV Brown, Gabriella Cilmi and his sister Jem; Glass Pear has sold over 30,000 iTunes downloads without any major or indie label backing at all.
An exotic love-child of Radiohead and the Beach Boys, "Summer" is a breezy string-led slice of alternative pop heaven.
"Its remembering the special times of childhood when I experienced nature as a magical force." Yestyn says. "Summer is a metaphor for that innocent sense of wonder I never want to lose."
Released with brilliant remixes by James Hockley (Chicane), "Summer" is out digitally in the UK on Oct 31st.
